Al Hilal bid €140m for Super Eagles striker Osimhen
Al Hilal have made an offer worth €140m to Napoli for striker Victor Osimhen. It’s thought Napoli would want more than €150m to even consider selling. Sky Sports also reported that the wages on the offer for Osimhen are in the region of £1m per week.
Sky Sports Italy are reporting a meeting between Napoli and Osimhen’s agent failed to find a resolution on a new contract.
Chelsea attempting to negotiate a cash-plus-player deal for Kylian Mbappe
According to GOAL, Chelsea is making efforts to secure a deal for Kylian Mbappe through a cash-plus-player negotiation. PSG’s formal decision to transfer list the 24-year-old due to his hesitation in signing a contract extension has attracted interest from various top clubs, including Real Madrid, European giants, and Saudi Arabian clubs.
However, the Daily Record reports that Chelsea aims to outmanoeuvre all competitors. The Blues’ owner, Todd Boehly, and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi have already engaged in direct discussions. For any offer to be successful, it must come close to the reported €230 million fee that the Parisians are demanding.
Amrabat a player of interest to Man Utd
Manchester United’s main transfer business will conclude once a deal for Rasmus Hojlund is finalised.
However, Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat remains a player of interest. While any deal looks like a stretch at this point, it cannot be ruled out and is likely to be dependent on outgoings.
Fiorentina are aware of United’s interest, and it’s thought the player is more than open to a reunion with Erik ten Hag, who he played under at Utrecht.
Man Utd finalising £72m Hojlund deal
Manchester United are finalising a deal to sign striker Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta.
United hope to have Hojlund’s medical completed this week and for a five-year deal – with the option of a further year – to be formalised in time for him to play some part in one of the team’s remaining pre-season fixtures.
United have two games this weekend, against Lens on Saturday and Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
The deal for Hojlund is worth an initial £64m plus £8m in performance related add-ons.
