UEL: Two Man Utd Stars To Miss Betis Clash, Erik Ten Hag Confirms

Manchester United are set to face Spanish La Liga side Real Betis in the second round of the UEFA Europa League. The Red Devils will welcome the Seville side to Old Trafford as they hope to put behind their humilating defeat against Liverpool over the weekend.

Manchester United knocked out La Liga leaders Barcelona in the play-off round and will face another Spanish side in the round 16, which makes it the third team from Spain United are facing in the competition.

Ahead of the game, Manchester United will have to face Real Betis without two of their players. The Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag confirmed that Austria international Marcel Sabitzer who is on loan from Bayern Munich will not be available, as he awaits his first Europa League minutes for the Reds. French striker Anthony Martial is also out of the tie as he is being ruled out due to hip injury.

Here is what the Dutch manager said ahead of the game.

“We have a strong programme,” Ten Hag told MUTV’s Mark Sullivan. “But I think we are quite good. The only disappointment is Marcel Sabitzer is not available, as well as Anthony Martial.

“Anthony Martial is back on the pitch, so we will see. For the rest, everyone is available and we are ready for the game.”
