Real Madrid have been dealt with a huge blow as their manager, Zinedine Zidane tested positive for COVID-19.
The Frenchman will not in the dugout in Real Madrid‘s next La Liga game against Deportivo Alaves with his assistant David Bettoni taking charge of the game in his absence.
Real Madrid are on a bad run as they’ve been without a win in their last three games which include a back to back loss to Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish Super Cup and third division side Alcoyano
Real Madrid released an official statement on their website to confirm Zidane’s health status.
“Real Madrid C. F. report that our coach Zinedine Zidane has tested positive for COVID-19,” the club stated.
Real Madrid will look forward to getting all three points against an Alaves side they lost to in the first leg few months, and they will have to do it without their manager.
