Paris Saint-Germain have given a new update on the injury situation of forward Ousmane Dembele ahead of their Champions League final against Arsenal later this month.
The French champions confirmed on Monday that Dembele is still receiving treatment before the May 30 final in Budapest.
The France international suffered a calf injury during PSG’s 2-1 defeat to Paris FC at the weekend. The former Barcelona winger was taken off after 27 minutes in PSG’s last Ligue 1 match against Paris FC.
PSG also said Dembele will continue his treatment over the next few days. It is still unclear if he will recover in time for the final against Arsenal.
Arsenal fans will be closely following updates on Ousmane Dembele after the former Barcelona star played a key role in knocking out both Liverpool and Bayern Munich on the way to the Champions League final.
PSG manager Luis Enrique said: “I have nothing to say about Ousmane right now. We have to wait until tomorrow. I think it is only fatigue.
“Anything we say today would just be speculation. But I do not think the injury is very serious. We will know more tomorrow.”
The injury came at a difficult time for Paris Saint-Germain as the Ligue 1 season ended on Sunday.
For Arsenal, the club are now two wins away from finishing at the top of the Premier League table.
The Gunners will travel to Turf Moor on Monday to face Burnley before taking on Crystal Palace in their final league match.
