Arsenal set four impressive records on Monday night after beating Burnley 1-0 in the Premier League. The Gunners secured the victory at the Emirates Stadium thanks to a first-half header from Kai Havertz.
According to Opta, Arsenal have now kept 32 clean sheets in all competitions this season. That is six more than any other club in Europe’s top five leagues.
Another record shows that since their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City, Arsenal are the only Premier League side to win all four of their matches. They are also the only team yet to concede a goal during that run.
The win over Burnley also means Mikel Arteta’s side have scored from set-pieces, excluding penalties, in 19 different Premier League matches this season. That equals the record for a club in a 38-game campaign.
Arsenal are now five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. If Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City fail to beat Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, then Arsenal will secure the Premier League title with one match still left to play.
Bournemouth head into the game in strong form at home, having remained unbeaten in their last eight matches at the Vitality Stadium since their 3-2 loss to Arsenal earlier in the year.
Arsenal won 15 of their 19 Premier League matches at the Emirates Stadium this season. They also recorded two draws and two defeats, finishing with 47 points at home.
That total matches the club’s best home record in the Premier League era, alongside the 2023/24, 2017/18, 2009/10 and 2007/08 seasons.
The North London club have one league match left against Crystal Palace next weekend. A victory in that game will confirm them as Premier League champions.
