Chelsea star linked with EPL side amid links with Inter and Como

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is reportedly leaning towards a move to Italy this summer, with Inter and Como showing interest.

The Blues could also use the centre-back as part of negotiations with Crystal Palace in their pursuit of Maxence Lacroix.

The 26-year-old is believed to have made Serie A his preferred destination, with Inter currently leading the race.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Chalobah’s representatives have travelled to Milan for talks with Inter.

Serie A side Como remain interested in signing the defender, but Chelsea have already rejected their £22 million bid.

The west London club are said to value Chalobah at approximately £35 million, a price that could prove difficult for Como.

Chalobah linked with Palace move

The transfer has taken another turn after talkSPORT claimed Chelsea have proposed Chalobah as part of discussions with Crystal Palace.

The Blues are eager to sign highly-rated defender Maxence Lacroix and could use one of several centre-backs to help facilitate an agreement.

Alongside Chalobah, Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offer Tosin Adarabioyo, Axel Disasi, or Benoit Badiashile as part of a package.

A return to Selhurst Park would not be unfamiliar for Chalobah, who spent the opening half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Crystal Palace.

The defender earned widespread praise under Oliver Glasner after delivering a series of strong performances before Chelsea recalled him.

From Chelsea’s perspective, selling Chalobah would also make financial sense.

Having progressed through the club’s academy, any transfer fee received would be recorded as pure profit under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Palace’s interest is unsurprising given Chalobah’s successful loan spell.

He established himself as a standout defensive performer during his time at Selhurst Park.
