EPL: Nkunku Ruled Out Of Chelsea’s Clash With Liverpool

Chelsea summer signing Christopher Nkunku has been ruled out of the Blues 2023-24 English Premier League first game against Liverpool due to knee injury.

Chelsea confirmed that the France international has undergoned a knee surgery and would be unavailable for an extended period. Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano gave a report that the young French forward could miss up to 16 weeks of action.

Chelsea released an official statement on their website to confirm Christopher Nkunku’s injury.

“Chelsea Football Club has today released the following statement about Christopher Nkunku,” the club confirmed.

“Nkunku has sustained a knee injury which will rule the forward out for an extended period. The 25-year-old has undergone an operation and will now begin a rehabilitation programme with the club’s medical department.”
