The English defender has been struggling with injuries for some seasons now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.feednews.com\/assets\/v2\/30ed12c4eb8d4539bc24007a77bd7e48?quality=uhq&amp;resize=720\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Manchester United released an official statement on their website to confirm the departure of Phil Jones at the end of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Phil Jones is to leave Manchester United when his contract expires in the summer,&#8221; the club confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.feednews.com\/assets\/v2\/11e676d9a0b04369966ef796d6079471?quality=uhq&amp;resize=720\" alt=\"Phil Jones has given Manchester United a simple decision to make - Isaac  Johnson - Manchester Evening News\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The central defender joined the club in 2011 from Blackburn Rovers and won the league in the following season (2012\/13), Sir Alex Ferguson&#8217;s final campaign in charge.
