The PSL confirm the DC matter between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns has been postponed

The PSL have revealed the proposed Disciplinary Committee meeting involving Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, scheduled for this evening, has been postponed. The parties were set to meet over the disgraceful events that took place at Loftus Versfeld last month, where Orlando Pirates fans rioted inside the stadium, vandalising property and storming the field after their side went 6-0 down against the Brazilians.

However, the matter will now be discussed closer towards the end of the month, the PSL confirmed. An official PSL statement read: The Premier Soccer League (PSL) Disciplinary Committee matter involving Mamelodi Sundowns FC and Orlando Pirates FC scheduled for this evening has been postponed. The matter will now sit on 20 March 2017 at 18h00. The PSL did not reveal the reason behind the postponement.

Pirates' Loftus meltdown marked the second time this season the Buccaneers fans have had to watch their side concede six goals, having done the same in the Premiership loss to SuperSport United in November.
