SuperSport United academy graduate Teboho Mokoena is relishing his progress with the first team after picking up his maiden man of the match accolade recently. Mokoena put in a stand-out performance in Matsatsantsa's 1-0 victory over Bidvest Wits, earning himself the Absa Premiership man of the match award. The Amajita star, who featured at the recent Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Zambia, where the team qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, “It feels great to be recognised, this indicates that my hard work did not go unnoticed, since I played a few matches in the elite league," Mokoena told his club's website.
"I want to thank my senior players who supported and welcomed me when I joined the first team. Most of all I would like to thank the technical team who did not doubt my ability and gave me a chance.” Having featured in the league, Nedbank Cup and CAF Confederation Cup campaigns thus far, the 20-year-old attacking midfielder hopes to continue his good performances to help his team defend their Ke Yona crown. “As long as I’m in the team I will always double the effort to help our team defend the Nedbank Cup title and to challenge for the championship,” he concluded.
