Spanish star claims he has no regret leaving Barcelona

3 months from now  Raphael   Sport News

Former Barcelona star and current Vissel Kobe captain Andres Iniesta has revealed that he has "no regrets" over his decision to leave the La liga giants back in 2018. The World Cup winner said this after facing his former side in a friendly match held in Japan.
Iniesta changed dumps the La liga giants in 2018 for J.League side Vissel Kobe after enjoying loads of success with the Blaugranas in which he spent a total number of 16 seasons at Camp Nou. He played the first 45 minutes against his former club as the J.League side suffered a 2-0 loss in the friendly game on Saturday.
The 35-year-old said he had no complaints or so ever about his decision to leave Barcelona, whose win against Iniesta's team marked their first of pre-season.
"No, no regrets. It's a very strong word to label itas that," he told reporters. "I've always said it. If I had felt the desire or the strength to continue playing in Barcelona I would've loved to come here a year later playing for Barca against Vissel, but my moment ended.
"Now, I'm in another place enjoying it in another way. I enjoyed the game, seeing my team-mates, it makes me very happy and I have a nice memory of it."
21-year-old forward Carles Perez scored a brace in the second half as the Barcelona got their first win in the pre-season. Asked about facing his former club, Iniesta – who won nine La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues among numerous other trophies with Barca – said it was unusual.
"It has been a bit strange. Instead of having them as partners, I had to face them," he said. "But the truth is that I enjoyed and savoured it. In general, the team hasn't performed badly. I'm happy for such a day, it's a special day."
Barcelona will continue their pre-season schedule when they take on Arsenal on August 4 ahead of their Liga opener against Athletic Club 12 days later.
