Former Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson (SAF) has spoken to publicly for the first time since he undergoes a brain haemorrhage surgery in May.

Manchester United released a short video on their official website where the 76-year old thanked everyone that stood around him during the process starting from the Hospital who took care of him.

"First of all, I want to thank the medical staff at Macclesfield, Salford Royal and Alexandra hospitals," he said.

"Believe me, without the people who gave me so much care, I would not be sitting here today.

"Thank outpourings and my family."

The former Manchester United manager also touched on all of the outpouring of support from fans and colleagues all over the world.

"It has made me feel so humble, as have all the messages I have received from all over the world," he added.

"The good wishes do resonate very strongly with me. "Thank you for the support you have given me."

The last time he was seen in public on April 29 at Old Trafford, but SAF vowed to return to the stadium later this season to watch the Red Devils play.

"I will be back later in the season to watch the team," he continued. "In the meantime, all the best to Jose Mourinho and the players."

Sir Alex Ferguson still remains the most successful coach in the history of English football, with 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League titles.
