Sevilla keep pressure on Atletico with vital win over Celta

2 weeks ago  Raphael   Sport News

In a game that Sevilla dominated in every aspect, Jorge Sampaoli will be delighted that their performance got the reward it deserved; a 2-1 victory over a fading Celta Vigo.
The Andalusians were the quickest out of the blocks and should've gone in at the break with the advantage. As it was, a mixture of poor finishing and last-ditch defending ensured that the scoreboard wasn't troubled in the opening 45.
Joaquin Correa fired the hosts ahead on 49 but within four minutes, Iago Aspas, who else, had brought Celta level from the penalty spot.
Any designs the Galicians had on taking all three points were swiftly extinguised three minutes after than when Pablo Hernandez was shown a second yellow.
It then became a question of when, not if Sevilla wold find a winner, and it duly arrived in the 79th minute, Wissam ben Yedder guiding Samir Nasri's assist home.
