Rummenigge: Bayern Munich not ready to sell Lewandowski, even for €150 million

4 months from now  Raphael   Sport News

The Bavarian CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has claimed that they are ready to keep hold of Robert Lewandowski even a sum of 150 million euros won't be enough to tempt them to sell the Polish striker.

Lewandowski situation is likened to Franck Ribery’s potential switch to Real Madrid a decade ago, Rummenigge explained how they handle the situation and claimed they are ready to take the same approach in handling this present situation

"We have a completely different philosophy to other clubs," the German told Tz.

"With Franck, we had this problem when Chelsea and Real were after him. Franck also showed cravings, but we told him that we would not sell.

"And now he is one of the happiest footballers in the world, because he has found his home in Bavaria and Munich. I think he too is glad that we made that decision.

"With players, one must show a clear attitude. [Lewandowski] also wanted to move on, but we told him that we wouldn't allow it.

"We are totally satisfied with the player, there are few that compare to him in his position, and so it is not in our interest to hand him over; no matter if someone puts 100m or 150m euros on the table.

"Since we decided with Franck in 2008 that we won't open the exit door, that is our mantra: The top quality players we have at our disposal, remain with Bayern Munich."
