Real Madrid concede eighth quickfire double of the season at lowly Leganes

Some will argue that Real Madrid were lucky to come away from minnows Leganes with three points on Wednesday night as the hosts ruthlessly highlighted Los Blancos' defensive woes at Estadio Butarque.Los Pepineros had bagged just 12 goals at home in LaLiga all season until Real showed up, conceding on the 32nd and 34th minute to gift Leganes a route back into the game from three goals down.
It was the eighth time in 2016/17 that Madrid have let in two goals in quick succession, and similar moments cost them vital matches against Sevilla, Celta Vigo, Valencia, and Las Palmas.
Games where Real have conceded so soon after conceding
Deportivo: 63rd & 65th minutes
Kashima: 44th & 52nd minutes
Sevilla: 85th & 92nd minutes
Celta: 64th & 70th minutes
Valencia: 4th & 9th minutes
Villarreal: 50th & 56th minutes
Las Palmas: 56 & 59th minutes
Leganes: 32nd & 34th minutes
While Los Merengues can score incredibly ably, they continue to concede and have failed to keep a clean sheet away from home in any competition since November 19 and the 3-0 win at Atletico Madrid.
Zinedine Zidane must therefore find a way to add some solidity to Real's backline ahead of crucial matches against Atleti, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona - and he must do so without Raphael Varane or a natural left-back alternative to Marcelo.
