Real Madrid, Atletico and Barcelona without a voice or vote in Spanish football

2 weeks ago  Raphael   Sport News

Angel Maria Villar aims to be re-elected as president of the Spanish Football Federation for the eighth time since 1988, but he will have do so without the support of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
LaLiga chief, Javier Tebas, has managed to convince all three clubs not to attend the assembly.
A block of 20 votes from Spanish professional football (11 from LaLiga and nine from the Segunda Division) will now go to the candidacy of Jorge Perez, who has Tebas' support and, by extension, the so-called G-30.
Teams that support Villar are Athletic Club, Real Sociedad and Celta, and they have distanced themselves from some of the theories of LaLiga's management, preferring to align themselves with the Federation.
