The Nedbank Cup semi-final fixture dates, venues and kick-off time have been confirmed by the Premier Soccer League. The semi-final fixtures will be played on Saturday and Sunday, 20 and 21 May 2017. On Saturday, May 20, Chippa United will host defending champions SuperSport United at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium. Kick-off is at 15h00. Chippa United will be making their debut appearance in the Nedbank Cup semis – a historical moment for the club based in the Eastern Cape.
They will face a SuperSport United side that has already won the trophy twice in the last six years (2012 and 2016). SuperSport United have appeared in three finals in the same period. The following day – Sunday, May 20 – Orlando Pirates will travel to Durban to play Lamontville Golden Arrows at the Princes Magogo Stadium at 15h00. Golden Arrows have never won the Nedbank Cup trophy in their history. They will be entertaining an Orlando Pirates outfit that has won the trophy twice in the last seven years.
