Palermo set sights on Ranieri

4 days ago  Raphael   Sport News

The new president of Serie A strugglers Palermo is eager to bring in former Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri in a bid to save the side from the drop.
Ranieri was surprisingly sacked by the Foxes following their 2-1 Champions League loss away to Sevilla, despite leading them to a stunning Premier League triumph last season.
According to Corriere dello Sport, new Palermo president Paul Baccaglini wants the popular Italian tactician to take over at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.
An ambitious new project is being planned out by Baccaglini and he believes Ranieri, who spent two seasons at Palermo as a player, is the perfect man to lead the Sicilian side.
At present though, their Serie A status is in serious jeopardy with the Rosanero currently seven points off 17th placed Empoli as they look to stave off relegation.
