Barcelona have announced that Carles Perez has signed a new contract extension with the club until June 30, 2022. The Spaniard had signed a contract renewal in 2018 for two seasons with an option for a further two years, which has now been triggered.
Perez needed to play three more games to reach this extra two-year extension, but Barcelona didn't want to wait any longer to tie him down for the long term.
The 21-year-old has been one of the positives from Barcelona's season so far, deputising well for the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele in attack.
