Manchester City are in advanced negotiations to sign Palmeiras forward Gabriel Jesus, according to the player’s agent.
The 19-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid, won the Best Newcomer award for his breakthrough season in Brazil last year and is set to line up alongside Neymar at this summer’s Olympic Games.
Pep Guardiola has already bolstered his attacking options with the signing of Nolito and is now leading the race for the Brazil starlet.
“I can say that we are defining some contractual issues [with Manchester City], we are dealing with that,” the forward’s agent, Cristiano Simoes, told Calciomercato.
“With Manchester City we are very advanced [in negotiations]. We'll see.”
