Madrid double navas' salary

6 months from now  Raphael   Sport News

The contract extensions of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Lucas Vazquez may have stolen the headlines, but keeper Keylor Navas too has seen his salary double due to his good play and the value he adds to the club.
The Costa Rican has slotted in seemlessly after Iker Casillas' departure, and has proved that the fax fiasco with Manchester United may have actually been a blessing in disguise.
The pay raise from 2 million euros to 4 million seeks to tie the goalkeeper to the club, and is a way for the club to show they value the player's dedication and commitment.
"It is only fair," the club said on the matter.
Navas actually turned down higher salaries to continue at Real, something Los Blancos duly noted, Manchester United offering up to 8 million euros in the past.
Unlike his other teammates, the Costa Rican has extended the amount of time at the club, and as a result, his announcement won't be accompanied by a celebratory press conference.
His injury now behind him, and the club giving him a boost of confidence, Navas will look to turn that backing into more clean sheets, a feat Real have yet to accomplish so far this season.
