Real Madrid Croatian duo Mateo Kovacic and Luka Modric have both been linked with moves away from the Santiago Bernabeu recently but their new manager Julen Lopetegui is claiming that the duo are happy at the club.

Reports coming in yesterday claims the former Inter Milan midfielder Kovacic refused to train with his colleagues at the Valdebebas training facility, an action that proves he wants to force a move away from the club.

"I think that Modric and Kovacic are going to be very happy to play for Real Madrid," stated the coach to reporters

"I have no record of what you say about Kovacic. He trained with his teammates and there has not been the slightest problem.

"I love him and we are delighted that he is part of the club."

"I answered that the other day," he noted.

The coach believes Modric’s situation has been dealt with by the club President, Florentino Perez’s statement that the Croatian can only leave for his 750 million euro release clause.

"The president spoke resoundingly and we do not have the slightest doubt that he will continue to be happy playing for us. There is nothing new.

"I talk to my players when I consider it necessary, but that remains private."

Lopetegui also took time to talk about the goalkeeping department. With reports linking Courtois to the club and claimed they are happy with what Navas is doing as the custodian.

"What we contemplate is talking about the players we have," said Lopetegui.

"We are happy to have [Navas] because he is a magnificent goalkeeper. Our goalkeepers are very good and Keylor especially."
