Orlando Pirates coach Kjell Jonevret was "satisfied" with his side's win over Free State Stars and feels things are beginning to click now that he is settled in at the club. Pirates enjoyed a good day at the office as they put four goals past Stars to avenge their 3-2 league defeat at the James Motlatsi Stadium last week. The Swedish tactician expressed his happiness at the resurgence of his troops, although conceded they could have been better in the first half, as he also gave credit to Serame Letsoaka's side. Jonevret told SuperSport TV: "I'm happy because I think we played like a team today. We were a little but unlucky in the first half, probably we could have had one more for 2-0 at half-time but then they scored from a set-piece. With the second half, really, I'm satisfied. I think we played well. "I think in the first half we were pretty much in control, as I said we played like a team today. Maybe we [Free State Stars and Pirates] are not the best teams in the league right now so we have to play smart to win games. Today I think we both played smart and good football."

Having scored four goals for the first time this season, Jonevret admitted he cannot tell whether they have turned the corner just yet as he continues to learn more about the players. "Today, yes, but tomorrow you'll never know. A new game on Tuesday that could be a totally different one. But of course I know the players much better now, after four or five weeks, but we absolutely have three or four key players," he aaded. "Makola was out in the last game for example, and we saw what he gave today, so we have a few that have to be there for the team to play good." Asked whether he was certain they could go all the way to lifting the cup as his first piece of silverware in the PSL, the former Swedish cup winner took up a realistic stance. "Nope!" he said with a grin. "The cup is a cup. We saw what happened with Sundowns today, Bidvest Wits a few days ago, both the Cape Town teams are out – cup is cup and that's the fantastic part. "But of course, with a little luck in the [quarter-final] draw and we should work hard too because we want to have the support like this often – it's a fantastic atmosphere tonight." Pirates join SuperSport United, Jomo Cosmos, Platinum Stars, Golden Arrows and Chippa United in the last eight, with Kaizer Chiefs and Bloemfontein Celtic still to face Acornbush United and Mbombela United on Sunday respectively.
