Kjell Jonevret felt Orlando Pirates were dominated in defeat to Bidvest Wits

Orlando Pirates coach Kjell Jonevret felt it was unfair to expect victory over Absa Premiership leaders Bidvest Wits, but hopes to bounce back against Mamelodi Sundowns in their next game. Jonevret conceded that Wits were the better side "in almost every part of the game" as Pirates walked away from the Bidvest Stadium as 1-0 losers on Thursday. "Sometimes you have to admit that the other team was a little better, and this was one of those nights," said Jonevret in his post-match interview with SuperSport TV. "But I'm a little bit sad that we didn't take the chance in the first half, I mean, we are not a team to play a lot of long balls, we should try to play from behind. "I think Bidvest [Wits] were better than us in almost every part of the game. I don't know, with corners [Wits had 11 corners] – I don't think we had one corner. "We have to go home, train and fight because we want to be as [good as] Wits and a few other teams, but we have a chance to revenge [bounce back] already on Sunday [against Sundowns] – hopefully we can do something good. "I hope it's going to be a party at home against Sundowns, but today it's just congratulations to Wits – they were better than us today."

The result ended Bucs' run of six games in all competitions without defeat, and the Swedish tactician felt is was unfair to expect a win over the league leaders. "There have been many games without a loss now, but okay this is the leader of the league, of course you can't, expect us to win maybe," he added. "But as I said, I hope we should just go out their with shoulders down and try to play our best, because when I see them in training and in warm-up they are really good with the ball. "It looks like we have very good success when they [opponents] step forward on us, normally we like that, but we'll have to analyse this [performance] tomorrow."
