In a league of their own: Premier League money breakdown

1 week from now  Raphael   Sport News

The English Premier League draws to a close on Sunday, and the figures earned by TV rights will surely be the envy of the rest of the Europe.
Chelsea, the champions, will earn in excess of £150 million but the gap from top to bottom is far from a yawning chasm.
Final-placed Sunderland will take home a rather princely £99.9m despite enduring a wretched campaign.
The earnings of each club are broken down into distinct categories.
First is the number of games each club has had televised; this starts from a base of £13.6m for each club, and then a further £940,000 for each game screened after the tenth.
Place money is also paid out based on the club's finishing position, starting at £1.92m for bottom with an additional £1.92 per place above the basement; Chelsea, through this, will earn £38.4m.
Finally, the lion's share of the income, encompassing international rights and other assorted earnings, are divided equally between all the clubs; totalling some £84.4m per club.
Not a bad earner, if you can get it.
