Good news for Real Madrid despite losing against Valencia in Laliga

2 weeks ago  Raphael   Sport News

Real Madrid are focussing on their return to the Santiago Bernabeu after a night to forget at Mestalla as they lost 2-1 to Valencia. On Saturday Madrid will take on Eibar in an important league clash that will see them look to bounce back from Wednesday night's defeat.
Zinedine Zidane put his players through their paces at Valdebebas on Thursday morning and the best piece of news for the Frenchman was seeing Dani Carvajal's return to training with the group.
The Spanish right-back hasn't featured under Zidane since he returned as head coach and he will be very pleased to have one of his more consistent players from his previous reign back in the fold. Carvajal picked up an injury in the Champions League tie against Ajax.
Another player that hasn't featured under Zidane's new regime is Vinicius Junior, however the Brazilian continued his recuperation with some running exercises on the pitches in the hope of bolstering the attack before the end of the season.
The Brazil youngster, is on the comeback trail. On Thursday, he took an important step in his recovery. For the first time since tearing his ankle ligaments against Ajax, he took to the field in an effort to return as soon as possible. The Brazilian is working hard to be back in contention for a place in Zidane's squad by the end of April.
He is keen to convince the new Real Madrid manager of his credentials heading into the new season and he also wants to prove to Tite that he is worth a place in the Brazil squad for the Copa America. He has signed former Santos physio, Thiago Lobo, to guide him through the recovery process and to help with his pyhsical preparedness after getting approval from the club to incorporate the Brazilian into his inner circle.
Thibaut Courtois continues his recovery after picking up a knock whilst on international duty with Belgium, and Marcos Llorente remains out with a muscular injury. Zidane will possibly bring in youth players Alex Martin and Moha on Saturday while Marcelo is suspended after picking up a fifth yellow card against Valencia.
Sergio Reguilon may deputise for the Brazilian at left-back for the visit of Eibar.
