Former Real Madrid player criticise Ronaldo over Champions League comment

Ismael Urzaiz, the former Real Madrid youth team player, spoke about Benzema and Bale in the absence of Ronaldo as he also blast the Juventus striker for the statement he made after the Champions league final against Liverpool and says Real Madrid can still win the league. Urzaiz, the former Athletic Bilbao player and Real Madrid youth teamer, has analysed the situation at Real Madrid.
The man who netted over 100 times for Athletic Bilbao believes Benzema is not up to scoring the same amount of goals as Cristiano Ronaldo but Real Madrid can still win the league.
"After the departure of Cristiano, Benzema and Bale are the reference points for goalscoring and it seems like Karim is assuming that role. Although I don't think that he is capable of scoring the same number of goals as Cristiano," he said.
Criticism for Cristiano Ronaldo
He also criticised Ronaldo for his comments after the Champions League victory. "It coincided with the Champions League final and his comments weren't the most correct," he says. "Aside from what's going on in the background, you are celebrating a title with all of your fans. I think that the people, even though they know they owe him a lot, they separated themselves from him, that longing to be the protagonist.
"I think it's very good because Madrid always stood apart for bringing through really good players," he said about the club's new manager and despite the fact that they are struggling domestically, Real Madrid "can never be looked down on even though they are many points behind Sevilla, Real Madrid can still win the league."
