English football mourn as defender dies at the age of 23

English football have been thrown into mourning as young defender Christian Mbulu died at the age of 23.
Mbulu was an English professional footballer who played as a defender and his last club before his death was Morecambe in the English Football League Two.
In an official statement released by Morecambe, they described Mbulu as an "extremely popular member of the squad" and said "news of his sudden and untimely passing has been a shock to us all".
"His loss will be painfully felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him," the club stated.
Mbulu's former club Motherwell where he spent just one season also dropped a farewell message for the defender.
"We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of our former player Christian Mbulu. RIP Christian."
Mbulu is of Congolese descent but was born in England and spent all his life in the UK. He didn't represent England during his time on earth but featured for a number of clubs.
