Diego Maradona blames Messi's teammates for poor World cup outing

3 months from now  Raphael   Sport News

Diego Maradona is still hurt by the performance of Argentina at the World cup and he blame most of the players for the poor outing, but the Argentine legend in his criticism spare Lionel Messi while suggesting that his teammates were to blame for the poor performance in Russia.

In an interview on Telesur in Venezuela the World cup winner was plain with his words in a typical Maradona version.

"They wanted Messi to solve everything," he said on the 'Telesur' programme in Venezuela. "Leo got involved in the game, passed the ball to Biglia or Enzo Perez but got a wheelbarrow of cobblestones in return."

The Argentinian Football Association (AFA) were not spared his ire either.

"The story is written by the quality of the leaders," he continued. "Argentina are adrift. "I met Davor Suker, who was my teammate at Sevilla, and he is in the Croatian Federation.

"He has an incredible relationship with the players who are prepared to leave everything on the pitch... and they are in the final.”

Diego is not happy with the fact that Jorge Sampaoli is still hanging on the job.

"The chess player," he called him, due to his continuous system changes.
