Diego Costa at the centre of the January window

3 months ago  Raphael   Sport News

The transfer market is, once again, revolving around the Premier League this January with Diego Costa at the centre of a saga that could ripple through world football if completed.
Irregularly, China are partnering the English top-flight in dominating the window and should Tianjin Quanjian complete their desired signing, the Blues' will then likely become very active.
Currently negotiating with Swansea over Fernando Llorente, Chelsea's loan move is pending on Costa's future being sorted, and could be abandoned for a return to Alvaro Morata if the current situation changes.
Plenty of other deals are on hold whilst Europe's top clubs work out their agenda, such as AC Milan's pursuit of Gerard Deulofeu, where Everton are reluctant to relinquish the winger, and Jese Rodriguez's departure from Paris Saint-Germain.
Only wanting to sign for Las Palmas, the forward is effectively unaffordable for the LaLiga club, who are one of many remaining otherwise quiet in a month that's seen just six incomings to the Spanish top-tier so far.
That could change if Marc Muniesa, a target for Real Betis, or Bojan Krkic move out of Stoke City and of course Dimitri Payet now must find himself a new club before the window shuts - Marseille currently lead that race although Real Madrid were linked in the summer.
A chain of events could be kicked into motion with Costa's transfer, with Tianjian also keen on Radamel Falcao as agent Jorge Mendes sets up base in China, although it may have to wait until deadline day for the clubs to sit down and hammer out a deal in typical last-minute fashion.
