Del Bosque: Zidane is using his common sense to do a good job

Former Spain and Real Madrid boss Vicente del Bosque is very happy to see the early success that Zinedine Zidane has had in his coaching career to date.
Del Bosque coached the Frenchman during his own spell in charge at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, when he helped lead the club to a Champions League title, as Zidane did earlier this year.
"He is a football man, he does things with common sense and that is working very well," Del Bosque told Radio MARCA, as he took time out from celebrating his 66th birthday.
"In addition, he also has an excellent staff and sometimes, a coach who speaks more than the players has a quality which is missed.
"He seems to be doing well in all areas. With his relationships with those around him and on the field too, which isn't an easy thing to do when you are coaching Real Madrid."
After stepping away from the game following Spain's Euro 2016 elimination during the summer, the veteran tactician confessed that he is now enjoying his free time.
"I'm now trying to end my other commitments, which I try to do whenever it is possible," he continued.
"I don't miss the game, I'm fine. I'm not thinking about the next game every single day, which had been a constant throughout my life on the bench."
