Away from the focus of the media, Chelsea's victory against Manchester City featured an aftermath of confrontation between both sets of coaching staff in the tunnel.
Antonio Conte and Pep Guardiola were seen in disagreement throughout the 90 minutes during the fixture, stepping out of their respective technical areas to exchange views, and on one occasion resulting in an intervention from the fourth official - but it has been revealed further remarks were traded in the tunnel.
According to the Mirror, Paolo Bertelli - a Chelsea fitness coach - and Mark Sertori - a Manchester City masseuse - deliberated in raised voices in the tunnel, prompting Guardiola to get involved, who could be heard shouting before stewards intervened to calm the situation.
Both sets of staff returned to the changing rooms without any further altercations but it remains to be seen whether the FA feel it necessary to charge the two clubs for improper conduct.
