Clichy: Sane reminds me of Bale

The sheer pace and power of Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has teammate Gael Clichy drawing comparisons between the German and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
Scoring the Citizens' second goal of the weekend win over Sunderland, Sane has compounded his place in the Premier League team's first XI, usurping Kevin De Bruyne in the process.
"You don't want to give too much praise to a young player, but in a few years he could be up there with the best," the French defender stated to reporters.
"He reminds me a little bit of Gareth Bale - strong and powerful and he can be decisive with the ball with assists and goals.
"Like Bale, Leroy is strong and powerful and with the ball he can drive forward from 50, 60, 70 metres and that is an important quality to have.
"And of course he can score goals and make something happen.
"The comparison is more about physical stature than what he can do, but when you look at him over the last few months I think everyone can agree he has a great future ahead of him."
Coach Pep Guardiola is another who has been ready to praise the young winger, who signed from Schalke 04 in the summer for over 40 million euros.
"Always when you pay a lot of money, managers all over the world are expecting the best, when it's going well it is always cheap. When it's going bad it's always expensive," Guardiola said on the weekend.
"I think he has a lot of qualities, he's so fast and runs in behind like few players in the world. But he's just 21 years old, so the gap to become a really good player is still big."
