Chippa United team manager Luthando Zibeko says the club is more focused on winning their match against Highlands Park on Friday than watching their rivals in the relegation dog-fight. The Chilli Boys sit 14th on the log, level on points with Baroka FC and just two ahead of this weekend’s opponents, who prop up the table, meaning it’s a close battle to the very end to see who will survive with three games left in the season. Yet Zibeko feels the club's supporters have nothing to worry about because unlike the other teams, their fate is still in their hands. "The focus for the club is on the next game against Highlands Park," Zibeko told KickOff.com. "Our fate is still in our hands. In football anything is possible, but we will do our best to win our remaining games, starting with Highlands Park. "There is still a sense of optimism in the dressing room, but we must be humble and respectful. At this time of the season all teams are fighting for something."
The Chilli Boys have received a much needed boost ahead of the clash with the Lions of the North with the return of key personnel. "We have Rhulani Manzini, Menzi Masuku, Xolani Mdaka and Justice Chabalala all available for this game, a major boost for us going to Tembisa," Zibeko said. Zibeko admits that the Chilli Boys have let their supporters down in recent times, but promises to rectify that come the end of the season. "The past results have not gone our way and the objective is to change that on Friday. In our situation, winning is not everything, but the only thing."
