Chippa United have confirmed head coach Dan Malesela has been released from hospital. ‘Dance’, as he is affectionately known, missed the goalless Absa Premiership encounter against Bidvest Wits on Tuesday after he was hospitalised due to a pain on his back. But the coach now seems to be back to full health and visited the club offices at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium this morning, just hours after he was discharged.

“I feel good. No pain. I am fine. I would like to thank you all for your messages,” he told Chippa’s official website. Malesela has been given a few days off to properly recuperate before he leads his side into Nedbank Cup last-32 action against Witbank Spurs next week Wednesday.
