Real Madrid may take a 2-1 advantage into the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich, but Casemiro is taking nothing for granted and is ready to follow Zinedine Zidane's instructions in order to see out the tie.
The midfielder praised his coach and the way in which he has set up the team, pointing to the preparation ahead of both legs.
"[Zidane] is doing an excellent job," Casemiro said in the pre-match press conference."He made it very clear for us what we had to do in the first leg and we already know what we must do [on Tuesday].
"We have to play our game."It is going to be difficult because if we concede then we could have problems.
"We hope the home crowd will support us because that is going to be important for us."
When it was suggested that Real might take their foot off the gas given their advantage and given the desire to avoid collecting yellow cards and potential suspensions for the semi-finals, the 25-year-old dismissed the idea that Los Blancos could think ahead.
"It will be a very difficult match because Bayern are very dangerous," he said.
"The tie is not finished because they have quality players."[The first leg] was a good result, but we want to win this match to go through.
"We cannot change our mentality."
Asked about the possibility of having to play centre-back should Sergio Ramos or Nacho Fernandez - the only two fit ones left - suffer an injury, the defensive midfielder was not afraid.
"I don't mind if I have to play centre-back or goalkeeper," he joked.
"I want to help Real Madrid to win, although I obviously feel most comfortable in midfield."
One of the reasons for that is because he developed under Xabi Alonso, who he'll come up against on Tuesday evening.
"[Alonso] is a player I learned a lot from here in Madrid as he possesses a lot of quality," he said.
"I wished him luck when he left and I still do, although I hope that tomorrow he doesn't have a good game."
