Newcastle United achieved an immediate promotion back to the Premier League and Rafa Benitez took the time to explain why it was he decided to coach a team in the second tier of English football rather than a side back home in Spain.
Clearly it's a decision that has paid off handsomely with the Magpies back where they belong.
"I think that in England they value their professionals much more, they're honest people and that's why I'm here," he said to Jose Ramon de la Morena during the Transistor programme on Onda Cero.
"We have done a great job, I am very proud of the players because the second division in England is very difficult, very long and very complicated, - but we had the support of a whole city.
"A city that I am very proud of, and that has supported us at all times with our supporters filling all the stadiums."
