AC Milan winger Gerard Deulofeu is set to return to Barcelona in the summer as the Catalans prepare to enact their buy-back option on the Spaniard.
Currently on loan at the Stadio San Siro from Everton, Deulofeu left the Camp Nou on a permanent deal in 2015 but can return for a predetermined fee.
"We consider Deulofeu an option for the future," sporting director Robert Fernandez told TV3 after Barcelona's 3-2 win over Real Sociedad.
When asked if the Spain Under-21 international was to potentially join in the upcoming summer, Fernandez replied: "Yes, yes."
Deulofeu's buy-back clause stands at 12 million euros but runs out on June 30, 2017, having cost Everton 5m euros almost two years ago.
Impressing in spurts at Goodison Park, the forward left for Milan in January and has set Serie A alight with a number of sterling performances for the Rossoneri, bagging twice in 12 appearances.
