Aulas: Atletico have been talking to Lyon about Lacazette for two years now

Ever since Diego Costa's departure, Atletico Madrid have continued to search for a No.9 to fill his shoes, and Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette is still on the radar, with the Rojiblancos' current pursuit building on past interest.
The French club have been in contact with the Madrid based outfit for some time now - two years in fact - and aren't looking kindly to continued advances.
"Atletico have been talking to Lyon about Lacazette for two years now," the Olympique Lyon president stated. "They are not the only team interested in his services.
"We've already turned down a 40 million euro offer, so it'd have to be a very high offer for us to let him leave."
Depending on the state of Atleti's transfer ban, an offer could still remain despite Lyon's resistance to secure one of Ligue 1's top strikers.
