Ahead of the mouthwatering clash between two Spanish giants Atletico Madrid and Barcelona this season, Juanfran and Vitolo have spoken to the beer brand Mahou and believe Los Rojiblancos need to be at their ruthless best to have any chance of beating their Catalan rivals.
The right-back was clearly wary of the threat that Jordi Alba and Lionel Messi pose and knows that Atletico can't afford to leave the duo any space to exploit.
"We must try to have a great game to win, with a lot of help, pushing ourselves to the limit and leaving little space," he said, "The Jordi Alba-Messi connection is very good because they know each other perfectly and we have to be very tight together to stop them.
"Normally you judge LaLiga Santander by Real Madrid and Barcelona as they are really the strongest teams with the best squads.
"Last year Barcelona were practically unbeatable and this year they have lost more often but continue to be very strong rivals. "But we are going to fight so that we have a chance at the end of the season."
Meanwhile, Vitolo, who has suffered from injury problems this season, recognised that Diego Simeone's men are very motivated ahead of Saturday's clash with the Catalan giants.
"We are excited, it's beautiful for the fans to experience a game like this," he admitted. "You could take one of Messi's legs away and he would still be the best. "Even if he's not 100 percent fit he can win the game in an instant."
