Arsene Wenger has played down the fact that arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur are set to finish above Arsenal in the Premier League for the first time since 1995. With the Gunners having dropped off the pace in recent weeks, Mauricio Pochettino's side will finish above Wenger's charges if they win the North London derby on Sunday. Wenger though has dismissed talk of a shift in power in London as the two sides prepare to face each other at White Hart Lane. "Let's be honest, I answered that question of [power] shift for 18 consecutive years," Wenger said in a press conference on Friday morning. "You cannot say that the weight of one year has the weight of 20," argued the Arsenal boss.

"I focus on Arsenal. What will happen to Spurs is not for me to comment on that. I have to focus on what we can do and how we can finish the season. We have an FA Cup [final] to prepare [for], so we have to focus on that." Wenger also insisted that finishing among the top four was top of his priority list. "The priority for us is to finish in the top four. After that, for the pride and continuity of our achievements, yes, we want to fight to be in front of Spurs." Even if Arsenal win on Sunday, Spurs will need just five points from their remaining four games to end the season above the Gunners, who can only reach a maximum of 78 points this season.
