Alves proves he is the penalty king

On Sunday, Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves got back to doing what he does best - and he did it twice.
The Brazilian is a formidable force when it comes to saving penalty kicks and proved it yet again at the Mestalla against Atletico Madrid.
In the 41st minute, he denied Antoine Griezmann from the spot when the score was at 0-0 and then did the same to prevent Gabi in the second half.
Of the 41 penalty kicks he has faced in La Liga action, the goalkeeper has kept out a staggering 19 of them and the myth around him continues to grow as a result.
His pre-penalty tactics may be as important as the saves themselves too as he spent a few moments discussing the kick with Griezmann prior to the Frenchman stepping up.
It evidently got to the former Real Sociedad man and left Alves adding to his glowing reputation.
