However, the Frenchman has placed doubts over a future England move after admitting that he could prefer a switch to Atletico Madrid in the coming transfer window. "I think it's the right moment. I want to discover something else, to put myself under pressure and to gain a level," he told L'Equipe. "It is a club that has been in the last rounds of the Champions League for several years. It is a great team, in a new stadium, and it is also a club that makes players progress. And there is Antoine Griezmann." Lacazette has netted over 20 goals in each of his last four seasons with Les Gones, and he looks set to end his 14-year association following the Nice game this weekend.
